S.W.A.L.K. II

John Galliano, Nick Knight and SHOWstudio continue their creative partnership, revealing the Maison Margiela S/S 21 co-ed collection. S.W.A.L.K first began with the opening up of the Margiela Atelier, following the creation of the A/W 20 artisanal collection. This second chapter revives a distant memory of tango dancers in Buenos Aires, whilst realising a bewitching proposal for the marriage of the Maison's artisanal and ready-to-wear lines via a fashion film cum documentary and a series of stills.

Biography

With a career spanning almost four decades, London-born Eugene Souleiman is a highly respected fashion hairstylist. Souleiman has created runway looks for Louis Vuitton, Rick Owens, Chanel, Maison Margiela, and many more, as well as working on campaigns for brands ranging from Gap to Hermès. Souleiman began developing his experimental style as a working-class teenager, drawing inspiration from punks, skinheads, and Teddy Boys. As apprentice to Trevor Sorbie for ten years, Souleiman then learned the 'Sassoon Way', and now combines this varied array of influences to create his own distinct looks. While serving as Global Creative Director to Wella Professionals, Souleiman continues session work, consistently delivering original, captivating looks.
