Retour vers le futur : Voyage dans le temps, American Dream & rock'n'roll

The script of "Back to the Future" was one of the most refused of Hollywood: more than forty times. No producer believed in this project of Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale. Steven Spielberg imposed the film on Universal Studios, with Gale signing the script and Zemeckis directing. The director of "Jaws" will not regret it. In 1985, "Back to the Future" pulverized the box office and became a worldwide success, reinforced by two sequels in 1989 and 1990. Decade after decade, the popularity of this trilogy does not falter. Why this longevity while so many blockbusters sink into oblivion?fre

Buccaneers & Bones

The famed saltwater flats of the Bahamas and Belize give a beautiful setting for the fishing adventure and conservation initiative undertaken in "Buccaneers and Bones." Journalist Tom Brokaw -- who also narrates the series -- leads an expedition in search of the island's legendary bonefish. Joining Brokaw are an eclectic group of celebrities, authors and business titans to fly-fish and swap stories about the wonders of the sport, and the modern-day buccaneers also discuss the importance of ensuring healthy populations of marine species for generations to come. The series reveals research funded by Bonefish and Tarpon Trust and other organizations -- information to help anglers catch more fish and preserve fragile coastal habitats. Other seasons of the series take place off the island of Ambergris Caye in Belize. Patagonia founder Yvon Chouinard, actors Liam Neeson and Michael Keaton, TV host Jimmy Kimmel, and musician Huey Lewis are among Brokaw's guests. Supports Bonefish & Tarpon Trust (BTT)

The Rocker: A Portrait of Phil Lynott

When Thin Lizzy frontman Phil Lynott died on 4 January 1986, he was 36 years old. His early death from a drug-related illness placed him in the same rock 'n' roll league as his idols Elvis and Jimi Hendrix. This documentary looks behind the image to reveal the strains of life in the fast lane. It also focuses on Lynott as family man, writer, and black Irishman with a Brazilian father. Includes contributions from Bono, Van Morrison, Mark Knopfler, Scott Gorham, and Lynott's wife Caroline Crowther, who speaks publicly for the first time. (Radio Times)
