The common goal of Duran, Celal and Mustafa is to find a way to get rid of the suburban neighborhood they live in as soon as possible. Duran wants to win the Muay Thai tournament and become a wealthy and famous fighter. Celal starts working on a rap composition after his unsuccessful attempts. Mustafa, on the other hand, tries to get into the influential gang of the neighborhood. For the owner of the Golden Gloves gym, former champion boxer Hakki, the upcoming tournament is also the only opportunity to get rid of his debts to the influential brother of the neighborhood, Sedat. When Hakki's granddaughter, Asli, who lives in Germany, whom he has not seen for years, shows up with a stolen diamond and then loses it as a result of an accident, the balance in the neighborhood turns upside down.
Having just entered puberty, bride (Dilan Aksüt) had been forced to marry with groom (Ilyas Salman) whom returned to his hometown after doing many years of jail time and more than fifty years older than her. At first she was afraid, she cries, even resists, having equipped with patchy and second hand sayings, she did not know what is going to happen to her. The film is based on 'Fikrimin Ince Gulu', a novel by Adalet Agaoglu, which depicts a first generation gurbetci/guest-worker returning home. It covers his land journey in short bursts from Germany to the Turkey's west border - and extensively from thereon to his village close to Ankara - capital of Turkey. He begins his journey purchasing a second hand yellow Mercedes - possibly his first car - using his meager savings working as a laborer. Offering deep insight into the mind of a manual laborer Bayram (Ilyas Salman) making his first trip back home, resorting to flashbacks in highlighting Bayram's motivation and experiences from his childhood right up to the events leading to his first departure from Turkey to Germany.
