Biography

Ricardo Castro is a Brazilian actor living in London. Born in Sao Paulo, he grew up in Lisbon, Portugal. He is experienced in acting, singing and dancing and has worked both on stage and screen. He received his training at the National Conservatoire and also attended the Associated Studios Academy of Performing Arts. Ricardo played Voices of Vernon Gersh in They’re Playing Our Song by Michael Vivian at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre (2012); Lead Vocalist in Broadway Live by Ray Goudie at Inspire Arts (2013); Adam Putman in Bitesize “From Page To Stage by Matthew Gould at the Landor Theatre (2013); Tyrone Jackson in Fame: The Musical by Catherine Lomax at Gordon Craig Theatre (2013); the lead in Aladdin by George Critchley at the Prince of Wales Theatre, Cannock (2013); Pablo in Sister Act by Michael Moody at the Grange Park Opera (2014); Padamadan/ Nikos understudy Kyle in Legally Blonde: The Musical by Anthony Williams at the Aberystwyth Arts Centre (2015); featured ensemble in Gobsmacked by Alexandra Spencer-Jones (2016); swing/cover Smokey Robinson in Motown by Charles Randolph-Wright at The Shaftesbury Theatre (2018) and UK tour (2019); standby Kevin J in Come From Away by Christopher Ashley at the Phoenix Theatre, West End (2020).
