Screenwriter and presenter of documentaries on international topics. Member of the Union of Cinematographers of the USSR. In the last years of his life, he was a correspondent for Central Television in the USA. He died in Washington as a result of a heart attack. He was buried in Moscow at the Kuntsevo Cemetery.
